So this past month or so, I've been involved with something called Heart and Soul
It's a district wide organization that takes the top 20 entries of about 150 and uses their art in auction to raise money for the schools in the district! It's a very honorable and high-class event and I got a good chunk of scholarship money just for being in the top 20! I went to the gala last night and met some wonderful kids, and my art piece sold for 450 dollars and was bought by the superintendent's wife who told me she wanted my painting very bad. I'm blessed she bought it and I couldn't imagine ever being in something like this. Here's the painting for those interested:



The piece is acrylic on Illustration board, and yes, that is my baby boy, Bob.
